Married December 25, 1848, John Gregory, full age, dredger, residence at Faversham, father Edward Gregory, dredger, to Susan Ward, full age, in service, residence at Faversham, father William Ward, dredger. Witnesses: Edward Gregory and Daniel Gregory.
This couple immediately after his first cousin, Emery Milsted, a widower, married for the second time, Amey Savel. It begs the question if the weddings were deliberately planned for the same day and if so, that the relationship between Emery and John must have been a close one.
